Lamp lighting ceremony

The Oath-taking ceremony/Lamp-Lighting Ceremony, of the 43rd Batch of Nursing Students & Annual Day Celebration of the Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama School of Nursing, Vrindavan, was held on Wednesday, 11th  December, 2024 at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium.

Srimat Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Asst. General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math presided over the function. Maharaj, in his motivational speech, inspired the students and emphasized the need for good character while appealing to one and all to do their duty with an attitude of service and treat the patients with love and care considering them as their own. The Chief Guest Mr. Mrityunjay Pratap Singh, Director of Operations, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, New Delhi and  the Guest-of-Honour Dr. Urmila Bharadwaj, Ex Dean & Principal, Sharda University, Noida  inspired the students and stressed the need for professionalism and dedication in nursing. 

The new batch of students lit candles and took the Oath of Service, which was preceded by Vedic chanting by the students. Refreshments were served to all guests and students at Annapurna Dham after the Ceremony.

On this occasion, Scholarships worth Rs.4,30,000/- were awarded to academically top eleven nursing students from 1st, 2nd and 3rd year GNM, by the courtesy of Sri Beriwala Charity Trust, Kolkata, and also to top 5 students for Value Education by Smt. Kusum Walia, Dehradun. Apart from this, prizes were distributed to the toppers in in each class for best academic performance and extracurricular activities for this academic year.

After the Oath-taking and refreshments, the students of School of Nursing and Staff nurses of the Hospital celebrated their Annual Day with the various cultural programmes.
