 The heavy rainfall in the northern regions of our country has compelled the dams to release excess water. As happened during August–September 2023, this year too, large parts of Vrindavan—especially the lower areas and several stretches of the Parikrama Marg—have become waterlogged, causing severe hardship to the local residents.

At Vrindavan Ashrama, we immediately commenced relief efforts. Cooked meals, bread, fruits, candles, and other essentials are being distributed. Should the situation worsen, we are prepared to extend our support further by providing dry ration kits to the affected families.

Our Sevashrama Charitable Hospital at Vrindavan is given the award of 'Maharaja Agrasena Rashtreeya Samman'. Sri Mohan Yadav, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh handed over this award on Independence Day, 15.08.2025 at 6.30pm in a programme held at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal. The award contains a citation, a cheque of Rs.2 lakhs and a Shree Phala (a dry coconut covered with red velvet and silver foil).


This award was given in recognition of the Hospital's selfless and dedicated services in providing excellent health facilities free of charges to orphans and poor people, making all sections of society self-reliant and serving the society.

We are immensely happy to inform you that our Vrindavan Hospital has now been accredited by NBEMS to conduct DNB courses of three years duration (post MBBS) in four disciplines, which are equivalent to MD/MS. We are eligible to take candidates from the academic year 2025 through the NEET-PG entrance test conducted all over India by NBEMS. 

 

We have been awarded the accreditation in the following disciplines till the year 2029.

 

General Medicine - 2 seats per year

General Surgery - 3 seats per year

Obstetrics & Gynaecology - 2 seats per year

Paediatrics - 2 seats per year

The Bi-annual Free Urology & General Surgery Camp (1st Camp of 2025) will be held at our Charitable Hospital on 9th to 12h April, 2025 (OPD will be held on 9th & 10th April) with the kind support of Manav Seva Sansthan, Mumbai. A team of specialists from Mumbai, Pune, Nanded, Delhi, Meerat, Mathura and Vrindavan will conduct the surgeries which will be free of charge for all the patients in General Ward.

The 190th Birthday of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna Dev was celebrated with due solemnity on 1st March, 2025. The auspicious day began with Mangalarati, Vedic chanting and hymns recitation by the Sadhus and Brahmacharins. Special worship, Homa, Chandi recital, devotional singing and reading from the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Dev were conducted in which many sadhus, devotees and other inmates of the Sevashrama participated and received blessings of Sri Ramakrishna Dev. 

At 9.30 am, the patients admitted in our Charitable Hospital were ceremoniously worshipped as ‘Rogi Narayana' with the offering of sandal paste, garlands, sweets, fruits and arati in the presence of many sadhus, devotees, nurses and other hospital staff.  

As a part of ‘Sannyasi & Vaishnava Seva’, about 320 Sadhus & Vaishnavas were served with cooked prasad at noon and a gift pack including one dhoti, one shawl and dakshina on this auspicious occasion. A number of devotees, local people, hospital staff and poor/needy persons - in total about  1,500 people - who had gathered for the occasion also received noon prasad. 

Mahashivaratri

On 26th February, 2025, Mahashivaratri was observed at night with Special worship of Bhagwan Shiva followed by Homa along with Bhajans at the Temple. Many devotees, guests and inmates of the Ashrama observed the worship and were fed with the prasad afterwards.

The Oath-taking ceremony/Lamp-Lighting Ceremony, of the 43rd Batch of Nursing Students & Annual Day Celebration of the Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama School of Nursing, Vrindavan, was held on Wednesday, 11th  December, 2024 at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium.

Srimat Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Asst. General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math presided over the function. Maharaj, in his motivational speech, inspired the students and emphasized the need for good character while appealing to one and all to do their duty with an attitude of service and treat the patients with love and care considering them as their own. The Chief Guest Mr. Mrityunjay Pratap Singh, Director of Operations, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, New Delhi and  the Guest-of-Honour Dr. Urmila Bharadwaj, Ex Dean & Principal, Sharda University, Noida  inspired the students and stressed the need for professionalism and dedication in nursing. 

The new batch of students lit candles and took the Oath of Service, which was preceded by Vedic chanting by the students. Refreshments were served to all guests and students at Annapurna Dham after the Ceremony.

On this occasion, Scholarships worth Rs.4,30,000/- were awarded to academically top eleven nursing students from 1st, 2nd and 3rd year GNM, by the courtesy of Sri Beriwala Charity Trust, Kolkata, and also to top 5 students for Value Education by Smt. Kusum Walia, Dehradun. Apart from this, prizes were distributed to the toppers in in each class for best academic performance and extracurricular activities for this academic year.

After the Oath-taking and refreshments, the students of School of Nursing and Staff nurses of the Hospital celebrated their Annual Day with the various cultural programmes.

The Bi-Annual Free Urology & General Surgery Camp (2nd Camp of this year) was successfully conducted from 27th November to 30th November 2024 with the kind support of Manav Seva Sansthan, Mumbai in loving memory of Srimat Swami Akhandananda Saraswatiji Maharaj. A team of 12 specialists from Mumbai, Pune,Nagpur etc. and 8 specialists of our Hospital actively participated under the leadership of Dr.(Prof.) Harshad Punjani and Dr.Balachandra Kashyapi in screening the patients and conducting the surgeries.


During this Camp, surgeries like TURP, PCNL, Cystoscopy, VIU, Urethroplasty, Hernioplasty, Hypospodiasis, Circumcision, Eversion of Sac, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty were conducted. 290 patients were screened in the OPD and 61 patients underwent surgeries free of charges.

The next Free Urology and General Surgical Camp is scheduled to be held during March/April, 2025 by the same team of specialists in our Charitable Hospital by the courtesy of Manav Seva Sansthan, Mumbai.
